Hammered at the Ibex

May 9th, 2012  / Author: mark

Another great night in the Ibex, we squeezed in and switched on. Carole-Anne was dressed to thrill and the band looked as ugly as ever, but the crowd seemed to appreciate our efforts and the night flew by. The hammer came out for the Floyd number and went to a good home.

Fox and Hounds, Nursteed, Devizes

January 29th, 2012  / Author: mark

It had been a while since we last plugged everything together and a couple of gremlins in the wiring caused a bit of a flap before we got going. But once the lights go out we are running. Thanks to Ken for standing in, at least he got more than two days notice this time.  The light show went well so big thanks to Lizzie for driving the PC. Also we had a guest soundman so thanks to David for pitching up and getting roped in.

Many thanks Debs at the Fox and Hounds for the invite, we had a fantasitic night and the place was packed, it’s great to see a pub being loved. We cannot wait to come back, and the place looked great after all your hard work.

Thanks to Chris for the picture and for travelling up from Southampton to see us.

Return to the Ibex

November 13th, 2011  / Author: mark

It was great to see so many familiar faces in the crowd and the return of old friends. The band now is as strong as ever and oozes fun and confidence. A mammoth set rocked the timbers at the Ibex and the crowd enthusiastically joined in during the sing-a-longs.

First Night Back Nerves?

October 16th, 2011  / Author: mark

No Way!

The first night was a blast. Thanks to the Ibex for having us there, we are now officially the loudest band that has played there (well done Rob).

Both Ed and Rob played their socks off!! CA was really on form and for Nathan and Mark it was like we had never been away………………

Rock On!

Welcome the new boys

October 4th, 2011  / Author: mark

Following the break it’s great to welcome the new boys into the band. We have had them locked away in the studio for a few weeks working out what goes where I think they have most of it sorted now!!

First the new bassist is Ed Hook also playing with the Purple Zeppelins, Ed just has playing in his blood and brings his solid and precise style to the band, Ed will also be adding second vocals to CA’s lead.

“If you want something doing ask a busy man”, Rob McGregor joins the band as drummer and has to be about the busiest one on the planet, we are glad to say that Rob’s has managed to find the time and bring his powerful style to the band.

Facebook is changing

October 2nd, 2011  / Author: Admin

Facebook are currently moving from their groups format to a page format for musicians and bands, as such we have created a From Dusk ’til Dawn page on Facebook. We would love you all to visit and “Like” the new page. For those of you who are already part of the From Dusk ’til Dawn group, Facebook have stated that they cannot convert members of a group to people who “Like” a page, so until every one is on the From Dusk ’til Dawn page we will continue to maintain both. Clicking the Facebook icon in the lower right will take you straight to the new Facebook band page.

From Dusk ’til Dawn V2.0

July 5th, 2011  / Author: Admin

A short break and a personnel change and From Dusk ’til Dawn are back. Rob McGregor and Ed Hook join Carole-Anne, Nathan and Mark in the new lineup. We will be gigging again later this year with the new boys Rob (Drums) and Ed (Bass), some dates are already in the diary and rehearsals have been going well. We will be adding some new classics to the set list over the next few months.

To go with the new line up we have given the website a fresh feel and there is no longer a login required to view the site, we have integrated the site with our facebook page, where you can sign up and get notifications of news and events.

We hope you like the new line up and the new look and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
